I have been photographing weddings and engagements exclusively for last 3 years and have not photographed a single family session. Why? Because photography is my passion first and foremost. Yes, I get paid for it, but I would never continue doing something if I do not have a passion behind it. The emotion, love and laughter wedding and engagement pictures offer always drawn me into that. While family sessions to me was just “Look at the camera, say cheese, click” in the early days.

But I have probably grown a little during the last few years haha. When Oksana messaged me for a family session few weeks back, I told to myself that I will be capturing the emotion and love of this family. This was sort of like adventure to me and it truely made me thrilled. I photographed the session and I am IN LOVE with their pictures myself! It was a fun filled evening with lots of love and laughter. Exactly what I am passionate about! So here it is: family sessions are probably one of my most favs now! I’m kinda sad that I missed out on witnessing lots of love during last couple years. But I am looking forward to capture some awesome memories in the coming days. Thanks Oksana and Vova for letting me be part of such a wonderful evening! I truly enjoyed the capturing the love, affection, smile and energy of your family <3

Here are a few from Brianne and Zak’s Edmonton engagement session. I met these two love birds few weeks back and had a blast capturing their engagement session! It was full of laughter and lots of love as you can tell from the pictures! Can’t wait to capture their wedding next year!

Stephanie and Dustin are so incredibly down to earth, you would want to be friends with them forever after one conversation. It’s no surprise that their overall style for the wedding was simple and elegant – the perfect backdrop that allowed their love to be the heart of the celebration.

Getting ready can be stressful, but it doesn’t mean it can’t be a party! Stephanie filled her getting ready location with friends, family, flowers, and of course, food! I loved how we were surrounded by so many details right from the start! After an emotional moment when Stephanie walked down the aisle, this couple still knew how to add comic relief as they shook each other’s hand when they finally met in front of the aisle. How can you not love them?? It was a breeze taking their portraits as husband and wife!

I had a great time capturing a wedding that was so centered on celebrating with their nearest and dearest. Thanks for making me a part of your special day 🙂

Sasha and Levi are one of those couples who’ll make you incredibly excited to photograph their session. I met them few weeks back for coffee in a Second Cup. “HOLY these two look so perfect for each other!” was the first thing I said to myself after seeing them. “I need to book them. Anyhow!” was the second thing I said to myself haha. So when they booked me for their wedding on the spot, it was such a wonderful feeling! I am so glad that I will be photographing their special day next year. But before that, it was time to cover their engagement session.

Usually when I photograph an engagement session, I pay a lot of attention to the background, poses, composition etc. etc. But when I went to photograph their session, I had one goal. To document the passionate love and the spot on chemistry between these two. And man I was so right! This session turned out to be one my all time fav session. While I was editing these pictures, I was sooo enjoying reliving that day again. I will remember this session for a long long time for sure. Thanks again for braving the cold weather, dense bush and for letting me capture your love. My inner photographer self can not wait to photograph your wedding soon!
